The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. Now in its 25th year, the Surfrider Foundation has grown from a small group of dedicated surfers in Malibu, California to a global movement made up of over 50,000 members and 90 chapters worldwide. We’re Looking Forward to BlogWorld
We're really excited to be attending BlogWorld to get a better understanding of how we can use social networks to engage with a completely different demographic. We have a strong following on our social networks (Twitter, Facebook and Myspace) but would like to learn successful practices to convert fans and followers into activists and members.
One of our strategic goals is to motivate a global movement of care for the coasts and we definitely believe that the best way to connect with our next generation of stewards is through our web presence.
